Consent to the use of artificial intelligence

Last updated: · Version 1.3

Edrex’s assistant and the statement import use artificial intelligence from an external provider. Before sending your data we ask for your express permission. This page explains in detail what you are consenting to and how to withdraw it.

1. The text you accept in the app

And the checkbox: “I understand my data will be sent to Google Cloud (EU) to be processed with AI.” (consent version 2).

2. Who processes the data

The controller is Bunix S.A.S. (NIT 901958981-0), with registered address at Calle 71 A # 39 - 21, Floor 2, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia (hereinafter “Edrex”, “we”). The AI provider, Google Cloud (Vertex AI), acts as data processor: it processes the data only to generate the answer, following our instructions and a data processing agreement. Processing is requested in the European Union multi-region.

3. What data is sent, and what is not

Data sent to the AI
FeatureSentNot sent
Chat with the assistantYour message; the recent conversation (up to a maximum of messages and text); a summary of figures: month totals, main spending categories, goals, aggregate balances and today’s dateYour name, email, password, transaction notes, transaction-by-transaction detail, or other people’s data
Import a statementThe file you upload (PDF or image) and the instructions to read itThe rest of your account. The file is not stored on our servers
Home tipsA minimal summary of aggregate figuresName, email and notes

What you type in the chat is sent as written: do not type data you do not want to share (for example card numbers, passwords or third-party data).

4. What it is used for

  • Answer your questions using your figures (assistant).
  • Read a statement and propose transactions that you review before saving (import).
  • Propose a transaction when you ask for it in the chat: it only proposes it and nothing is saved until you confirm with a button.
  • It is not used for advertising, to make automated decisions about you with legal effects, or to sell profiles.

5. Retention and training

  • Edrex keeps the chat history in your account (so you can resume it) until you delete it or delete the account, and a usage log without content (date, type, technical amount and cost).
  • Google does not train its models with this data and may keep requests temporarily only to detect abuse, under its terms.

6. Limits and warnings

  • AI can make mistakes or invent data. Its answers are indicative and are not financial advice.
  • There is a daily maximum of requests per person and a cap on service spending.
  • Always review imported transactions and those the assistant proposes before confirming them.

7. How to withdraw your consent

You can withdraw it whenever you want, with no consequences for the rest of the app (AI will stop working):

  • Write to [email protected] from your account email and we will withdraw it (and, if you ask, delete your chat history).
  • Or delete your account (guide).
  • Meanwhile you can simply not use the chat or the AI import: nothing is sent unless you use them.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

8. Your rights

You have all the rights described in the Privacy policy (access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability) and you can complain to the AEPD. This page complements that policy.
